THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-established boutique accounting firm that has been around for more than 25 years. The client base ranges from primary producers, vets, property development to medical and legal.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients in a friendly manner on behalf of the accountants
  • Traditional reception duties i.e., answering incoming calls and directing mail.
  • Data entry, filing and archiving.
  • Warmly welcome visitors and notify appropriate staff member.
  • Make sure the office runs smoothly.
  • Provide assistance with tax lodgements and engagement with the ATO
  • Provide assistance with ASIC corporate compliance
  • Electronic database management to ensure our document management and workflow systems are working as planned
  • Strong computer skills will help you succeed as we implement technology options to streamline our work
  • Manage meeting rooms and ensure they are set up for each meeting.
  • Organise appointments.
  • Stationary orders
  • Organising gifts.
  • Making teas and coffees for visitors.
  • Provide assistance with tax lodgements and engagement with the ATO

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • A minimum of two years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Friendly and willing to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Strong engagement and phone manner is essential.
  • Strong computer skills with competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in an accounting practice is preferred but not essential with skills in: MYOB AE and Document Manager, XERO, other accounting software packages.
  • Corporate Compliance would be advantageous
  • Client communications and use of customer relationship management and marketing tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
This position is part-time with good remuneration and generous employment conditions. Professional growth opportunities exist for the successful applicant.
