About The Role

As the FOI – Compliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our client meets its legal obligations under the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy and Data Protection Act

Key responsibilities include:


Coordinating and administering the FOI responsibilities of Council, including case load management, request assessment, document discovery and analysis, liaison with applicants and third parties, drafting decision letters, and providing specialist advice.

Coordinating and administering the privacy and data protection responsibilities of Council, including responses to privacy enquiries, privacy breach investigations, privacy impact assessments, and providing specialist advice.


Job Requirements:
To Excel In This Role, You Will Need

Proven experience in coordinating and administering FOI and privacy responsibilities.
Strong understanding of the legal obligations under the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy and Data Protection Act.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, applicants, and third parties.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
