About the role


Prosthetic and Orthotic Services (at the Queen Elizabeth Centre) is a vibrant, busy service in a large regional health network.

The service boasts a purpose-built facility, in the sub-acute service setting, that operates as an integral part of a progressive rehabilitation service.


  • Provide services to all age groups, for inpatients and outpatients
  • We provide a complete prosthetic service from acute inpatient to ongoing outpatient treatment including a wide range of custommade and prefabricated orthoses

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be the manufacture, repair and maintenance of prostheses and orthoses
  • Training and supervision of less experienced technical staff

Skills & Experience

  • Technical experience within the Prosthetics and Orthotics industry
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and evidencebased practice in prosthetics and orthotics
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt constructively within a busy and dynamic working environment
  • Relevant higher education qualification such as a certification trade or degree qualification, with skill adaptable to the Prosthetic and Orthotic technical role
