About the role

Prosthetic and Orthotic Services (at the Queen Elizabeth Centre) is a vibrant, busy service in a large regional health network. The service boasts a purpose-built facility, in the sub-acute service setting, that operates as an integral part of a progressive rehabilitation service.

Provide services to all age groups, for inpatients and outpatientsWe provide a complete prosthetic service from acute inpatient to ongoing outpatient treatment including a wide range of custom-made and prefabricated orthoses

Key Responsibilities

Primary responsibility will be the manufacture, repair and maintenance of prostheses and orthosesTraining and supervision of less experienced technical staffMaintenance of equipment and machinery, ordering and maintenance of stock, application of OH&S practices and administrative tasks

Skills & Experience

Technical experience within the Prosthetics and Orthotics industryDemonstrated commitment to quality and evidence-based practice in prosthetics and orthoticsDemonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt constructively within a busy and dynamic working environmentRelevant higher education qualification such as a certification trade or degree qualification, with skill adaptable to the Prosthetic and Orthotic technical role
