We are seeking caring and professional individuals to become part of the Caring Approach team to promote independence for people living at home.

General duties include:

Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, including assistance with showering and bathing.

  • Domestic tasks
  • Manual Handling
  • Food preparation
  • Medication Assistance
- activities of daily living and skills building.

  • Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • An understanding of delivering care in a person-centered way.
  • Availability and be reliable & punctual.
  • Certificate 111 or above in disability, aged care, and community care. T
- the ability to problem-solve and keep strictly to the routine experience in working with people who have complex high care needs including communication barriers

  • Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types Ability to fulfill shift duties and have excellent time management skills Ability to read and interpret service information
  • Ability and understanding of infection control procedures
  • Have an appropriate visa to work in Australia
  • Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • Smartphones with the ability to install apps
  • 6 months minimum experience delivering highly complex personal care.
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate
  • Drivers license and own fully insured transport
  • Have an empathetic and understanding approach to providing care to people with high complex needs
- completion of the NDIS new worker module or willingness to complete as part of the induction process
- completion of the COVID-19 e-learning module

  • Provide Vaccination Certificate.

Desirable:

  • Experience in working with people to increase their independence
  • Certification and or experience in bowel care
  • Certification and or experience in medication administration
  • Experience in working with people that require manual handling
  • Certificate 111 or above in the relevant area A
- ability to implement positive behavior support strategies and an awareness of person-centered active support.
