About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Home Care Worker to join our team at Life Without Barriers. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to older Australians residing in the Southern Canberra suburbs.

This is a casual opportunity with hours between 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with no evening or sleepover shifts. You will be working with a dedicated leadership team to support you in your role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing domestic assistance, including meal preparation and light house cleaning
  • Assisting clients with community access to medical appointments and social activities
  • Delivering personal care, including grooming and showering
  • Supporting clients with tasks and routines
  • Building positive relationships with clients
Requirements
  • A passion for making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • An Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
