The Senior UX Designer will conduct and deliver UX activities for our hero digital product for our recipients. You'll work with the Lead UX Designer to conduct strategic UX work that enable the delivery squad to deliver great user experiences. The Senior UX Designer advocate for and drive improved, coordinated solutions within a digital product.
Accountabilities
You'll be part of our global UX Practice connected across our Global Strategic Marketing and Research & Development departments, you'll solve key user pain points in the customer journey and drive strong collaboration with Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, Data Analytics and Service Delivery ensuring we deliver holistic solutions across our products and services.
- Advocating and driving the understanding of valuable Experience Design and HCD activities that get to delivery effectively and efficiently
- Working closely with project leads to prioritise and conduct UX activities that focus the team on value and solutions and strong collaboration with Product Design peers.
- Communicating the value of research, understanding trends, and scaling research value that deliver Cochlear's user research activities and research repository
- Understanding and delivering user insights that empower and drive product design choices and product strategies using the DVF (Desirability, Viability and Feasibility) framework
- Advancing UX Practice goals and taking initiative to find opportunities that increase UX impact and understanding across Cochlear
- Leading a series of work delivering analysis, workshops, and activities for the squad/project team and creating appropriate fidelity UI/UX/visual artefacts that empower teams to deliver on products and experiences
- Validating and Measuring needs; both user and delivery while building measures to capture improved experiences.
Key Incumbent requirements:
- At least 6 years proven experience as a Product Designer or User Experience Designer for software products.
- Experience working in highly collaborative agile software teams and within complex problem area.
- An advocate for Inclusive Design, User Centred and Human Centred Design methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices in user experience design
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex research outcomes with clarity.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities and strong abilities to work collaboratively.
Ideal:
- Experience in Lean UX, Dual Track Discovery or Continuous Discovery.
- Experience implementing brand and accessibility into digital products and inclusive design needs
- Experience working with web and mobile application teams
- Experience with Service Design methods and Customer Journey maps.
- An understanding of Design Systems and their role in the product design process
