The team is looking for an experienced **Senior SQL Server Database Administrator** to help reach the department's goals by handling the design, setup, and maintenance of database services.

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Providing solutions and assistance for our changing database environment, which includes SQL Server systems on-premises, in the Azure Cloud, and in some older Linux-based data platforms.

- Monitoring the compliance and overall health of the database systems.

- Leading database automation projects for recurring needs.

- Enhancing service capabilities in the Azure cloud.

Requirements:


- Recent experience in managing and supporting SQL Server clustered setups and Azure SQL Managed Instance platforms.

- Skilled Senior SQL Server DBA with a strong interest in data, automation, and building reliable systems.

- Demonstrated expertise in crafting complex stored procedures and scripts using Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.

- Proficiency in optimizing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning SQL Server code for improved performance.

- Knowledge in standardizing database elements, design, naming conventions, and documenting databases and data dictionaries, including data sources and lineage.

- Proficiency in Relational Database concepts, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.

- Ability to create, manage, upgrade, and decommission database systems.

- Handling and maintaining SQL Server HA and DR solutions including Clustering, Availability Groups, Replication, and backup recovery.

- Demonstrated familiarity with On-Premise, Virtual, and cloud-based SQL solutions.


- Data modeling and administration

- Utilization of data visualization tools like PowerBI

- Experience with other RDBMS platforms such as Postgres, Ingres, MySQL, Cosmos DB

- Background working in Linux environments.

- Capability to collaborate with teams spread across different locations.

- Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical staff across all levels.

- Collaboration and mentorship skills to support team cohesion
