About the role


A key team member, the Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator will work closely with the CEO, Artistic Director and Office Manager to meet annual fundraising targets and increase giving over time.


Skilled in marketing on various platforms and an experienced fundraising specialist, you will work collaboratively with the team and will be responsible for developing and implementing creative and innovative campaigns to drive meaningful donor engagement.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop, manage, and implement marketing strategies over a variety of platforms suitable for the event and drawing in new audiences and members.
  • Under the Direction of the CEO, devise and update a strategic marketing plan and undertake relevant actions to ensure successful implementation.
  • Manage consistency throughout internal and external communication on all platforms.
  • Implement communications strategies to be used amongst staff and volunteers.
  • Disseminating marketing material into the community (schools, public spaces etc).
  • Actively involved in the presentation of events that may require outofhours work.
  • Assist with general administration as required.
  • Develop, manage, and implement fundraising strategies for individual giving, corporate giving, major donors, bequests, and foundations.

Required experience/knowledge

  • An undergraduate qualification, or an equivalent, alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training, and/or experience in fundraising.
  • A minimum of five years experience in a similar fundraising, marketing, or sales role.
  • Track record of achievement in donor engagement and stewarding.
  • Experience working with a CRM system/database.
  • Experience successfully delivering financial asks in either a commercial or notforprofit environment.
  • Experience and expertise in developing relationships with major donors/stakeholders and crafting and implementing major donor strategies and communication plans.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and presenting proposals to secure opportunities.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures including Sharepoint and Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
