ING, Australia's most recommended bank is on the hunt for an experienced
Analytics Innovation CoE Lead to join our high performing Customer Insights team in a newly created position.

You'll have the opportunity to bring your expertise to a high performing team and make a real impact the analytics within the bank.


You'll be an integral part of our Customer Insights team, which is the CoE for the analytics function, for our retail bank.

The CI team is also a strategic partner for the business, equipping our stakeholders with data and insights to help identify, assess and quantify opportunities and outcomes, drive decisions, as well as to understand their impacts.


What are you going to do? You will be

  • Support the Customer Insights Chapter Lead with innovation in creation of and execution of an analytics based innovation strategy aligned with overall business strategy
  • Further develop a culture of innovation across Customer Insights using business use cases in Retail and Operations
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to scout and identify relevant innovation ideas and translate them into real products and solutions that benefit the bank
  • Lead the execution and practical implementation of the identified projects end to end including working with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Ensure that innovation is infused across Customer Insights and helps constantly transform the bank's way of working
  • Use techniques across Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence and technology to develop solutions to help the business.

What are we looking for? Someone who has

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS SQL / Teradata, SAS (Enterprise Guide and SAS Macros) and Excel is essential.
  • Minimum 810 years of business, database systems and data analysis/statistical
analysis experience

  • Strong business acumen, influencing skills, and the ability to produce insights (not just data), with clear articulation of findings to stakeholders across the business and at all levels of management. You must be able articulate technically complex concepts used in modelling and analytics in plain everyday English.
  • The ability to take ownership and build your own team, be autonomous, but also seek assistance when required
  • Experience with Python, the Google Cloud Platform environment and R are desirable, but not essential.
  • Highly analytical, problem solving, lateral thinking and interpretive skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customercentric focus on delivery and meeting outcomes.
