We are seeking a full-time skilled and experienced Welder (First Class) to join our highly skilled and innovative team:
  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Fabricating dimensions and shapes accurately
  • Physically fit to meet daily production targets
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a workshop environment safely
  • Prioritize jobs, self-motivate, and work independently as well as part of a team

Minimum Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or minimum 3 years of work experience
  • Experience with Structural and mechanical works including steelworks and plate works
  • Stainless Steel and mild steel fabrication knowledge

Responsibilities:
  • Examining work for defects and ensuring conformance with specifications
  • Operating welding tools and equipment efficiently
  • Liaising with sales team for prioritizing orders and stock control
  • Creating quality welds according to blueprints
  • Preparing products for welding by grinding, drilling, milling, and cutting steel parts
  • Inspecting welds and performing key measurements
  • Cleaning and finishing products
  • Ensuring safety standards and equipment maintenance
  • Assembling items as per instructions
  • Following safety rules and quality standards
  • Collaborating with team members to maximize productivity

Requirements:
  • Structural welding and fabrication experience
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Strict compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Excellent fabrication and welding skills
  • Understanding of Workplace health and safety procedures
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical endurance
