The role
The Coordinator, Court Officers is a key frontline management position in the NSW Sheriff's Office.


You will be required to lead and develop teams to meet statutory and administrative obligations and deliver high quality professional services to clients through the promotion of a values driven and high-performance work environment.


Please note:

the role involves exposure to graphic content, including images, photographs and discussions relating to violence, sexual assault and/or homicide matters.


What you'll do

  • Manage a team of staff, implement agreed performance goals, oversee work allocation, capability development and performance management.
  • Providing leadership to staff and Team Leaders, this role will promote a positive working environment that values ethical behaviour and good performance whilst meeting statutory and administrative obligations.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Monitor adherence to policies and legislative requirements and assist in the implementation of operational changes as a result of legislative amendments.
  • Implement and monitor continuous improvement strategies to ensure high quality service delivery.

What we're looking for
For the Coordinator, Court Officers role, we are searching for an individual who can demonstrate:

  • Experience leading and managing a team in a complex, time sensitive and challenging environment.
  • Strong people management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience monitoring adherence to policies and legislation and ability to assist with operational changes.
  • High level of communication skills and experience managing complex people matters.
  • Ability to oversee resourcing, workload management and quality assurance to ensure effective service delivery and quality standards are maintained consistent with organisational policy, procedure, guidelines and Key Performance Indicators set out in the Service Charter standards.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff, providing constructive feedback to facilitate ongoing professional development through a performance and development frameworks that actively contribute to a professional, empowering, and respectful workplace culture.
