About the Role
This is an exciting new opportunity comes as part of the Community Development Program's

Pathways to Real Wages program.
In this role, you will oversee operations at ALPA's training focussed Childcare Centre in Ramingining.

You will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to local team members as they work towards attaining accredited training in food or childcare services.


This position is based in

Ramingining

, a remote community in East Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daytoday operations of the Childcare Centre ensuring it is providing a culturally appropriate service that complies with health, educational and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all relevant legal and statutory requirements are monitored, complied with, and implemented.
  • Oversee the administration of the centre, including handling enquiries, enrolments, and payments.
  • Coordinate and supervise centrebased staff and ensure that appropriate standards in programming and care are always maintained.
  • Work with manager and financial officers to monitor and participate in the preparation of the program budget.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood at minimum
  • At least 5 years' experience in an early childhood profession
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law, the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and the National Quality Standards.
  • A thorough understanding of the principles associated with the developmental programming and creativity needs for children between 25 year and an awareness of cultural differences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to facilitate teamwork amongst staff and open, respectful partnerships between staff and parents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current working with children's check
  • Successful completion of Child Safe Training
  • Valid First Aid certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
