About the role
Due to an internal promotion WesTrac are currently seeking an experienced Aftermarket Sales Manager located in Casula.


The Aftermarket Sales Manager will be responsible for assisting the sales team across NSW/ACT in the attainment of sales goals through implementing supporting processes and resources that positively impact sales team productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and results.


Key areas of focus will be supporting the sales representatives in key sales activities such as sales funnel management, account planning, territory planning and time management to ensure sustainable growth.

This role will also see you develop strategies by branch to win in the Construction and Energy markets with a quarterly report demonstrating effectiveness of the strategy alongside recommended future actions.


Your success as a Construction Industries Aftermarket Sales Manager with WesTrac is measured by your ability to develop and lead your team and execute strategies to contribute to overall growth in market share in the after-market space.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute strategic initiatives to achieve growth
  • Provide leadership, direction, advice and support a team of sales representatives
  • Develop and manage annual sales budgets. Engage with and communicate sales forecasts to internal stakeholders and management monthly.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve operational performance
  • Skills & Experience
  • Proven sales Management experience
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to engage and influence others in achieving business outcomes
  • Advanced computer skills and previous CRM experience an advantage
  • Machine and maintenance knowledge gained within a relevant market (construction, maintenance, engineering etc.)
  • Desirable tertiary qualification in Business or engineering
  • Flexibility to travel up to 20% of time

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or similar (or equivalent experience in a product or sales management role)
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience focused on heavy construction or equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or people management role within a high performing sales environment
  • Solid commercial and business acumen with a strong understanding of the sales process
  • Welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyse market / customer data and develop strategic plans
  • Strong customer focus with a track record of delivering customerdriven solutions and initiatives that drive a positive customer experience
  • Ability to negotiate and influence across all levels
  • Knowledge and understanding of Caterpillar products and the construction industry.
