Business Analyst

Our customer, a large department of QLD Government, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to help with a Digital Transformation and Content Services project.
The Business Analyst will have a crucial role in supporting the ongoing Digital Transformation project for the Content Services Platform, with opportunities to engage in strategic initiatives and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders within the branch, the department, and externally with other agencies and vendors.
The perfect candidate for this role will possess the following key qualities as they relate to the responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience leading business analysis activities on substantial and complex ICT projects, especially in the public service sector with expertise in SharePoint, M365, Document Management Solution & EDRMS.
- Experience leading business process and system modeling for large organizations, ideally using BPMN or UML.
- Investigation of complex business situations, recommending improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Defining and managing scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities for medium-sized initiatives. Facilitating stakeholder input, providing constructive challenges, and enabling effective prioritization of requirements.
- Independently working as a key contact point, developing stakeholder engagement strategies, providing informed feedback, facilitating business decision-making processes, and disseminating technical and business information.
- Planning data modeling and design activities, offering guidance on data structures, and components to others.
- Identifying communication and relationship needs of stakeholders, translating strategies into specific activities and deliverables, and promoting open communication and discussion between stakeholders.
- Previous experience with SharePoint, M365, Document Management Solution, and EDRMS is a must.
- Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence for managing requirements and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering, validating, and analyzing critical information from business and technical stakeholders and presenting findings effectively to program stakeholders.
- Exploring opportunities for process improvement in complex areas or alleviating business process pain points.
- Considering legislative obligations within the context of digital solutions.
- Identifying issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
- Producing high-quality documentation including business, functional, non-functional, and transitional requirements.
- Ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing tasks autonomously or as part of a project team and achieving objectives within specified timeframes.
Additional Information:
8 Hours/day - 40 Hour working week.
