About the Job Title and Company:

Tip Top Bakeries is excited to announce an opening for an Apprentice Baker to become part of our team at the Bendigo location, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Purpose of the Role

The main goal of the Apprentice Baker Position is:

  • Undergo training as a Baker for our upcoming Apprenticeship Program scheduled for 2024 based in Bendigo
  • Participate in training sessions at the trade college/university as part of our Apprenticeship Program
  • After the initial year, you will be expected to work varying shifts throughout the week, across different days, and in different production areas alongside experienced staff

Hours:

Full-time position - Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm for the initial 12 to 18 months

About You

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Completion of Year 11 or 12, with preference for VCAL candidates
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong numerical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Passion for the culinary arts
  • A proactive and quick-learning attitude
  • Access to personal transport and a valid driver's license
  • Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and dedication to finishing the Apprenticeship Program
  • Candidates who have finalized VCAL, Year 11 or 12 are encouraged to apply
