Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Harvest Recruitment Full time

Two voluntary board roles exist for individuals with strategy, network, health or disability services skill-sets and who are advocates for disability services to join the Kids+ Board.

Established in 2003, Kids+ ingrates allied health therapy with research, training and community engagement to provide the best support possible for infants, children and young people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions.

The organisation provides therapy as an NDIS provider.

Moreover the organisation continues to invest in research in partnership with Deakin University, training (of allied health professionals, participants, parents and carers), conferences and community engagement and development.

The organisation continues to grow from 10 staff five years ago to over 35 staff and 300 clients supported by its services today.

With the tenure of two Board Members concluding at the company's AGM in April we are seeking passionate and committed Board Directors to assist in the strategic development of the organisation and to identify and leverage further opportunity.

Board Directors who bring an awareness of the sector, lived experience of, or children with Cerebral Palsy who can advocate for Kids+ and its services are keenly sought after.

Experienced Directors of Not for Profit boards who would consider a Chair role into the future or who have chaired Boards are equally of interest.

The organisation is in good hands with a highly competent CEO, a capable Executive Leadership Team and policies, procedures and processes in place.

As such, we seek Board Directors who can lean in to assist the organisation be better and with its next phase of growth.

This can be through insights from your experience in disability/community services or the allied health sector, or outside of sector in the identification of opportunities, innovations and/or networks that could be leveraged.

While the Board is strategic and skills-based we seek an enthusiastic, ambitious individual who can bring their same passion to steer the organisation to greater heights.

Board commitment includes four quarterly meetings and two half-day planning sessions based in Geelong.

If you believe you can add value to Kids+ please enquire to receive a Board Information pack.

Interested parties are requested to send a Cover Letter and a Board Resume/Bio for consideration for the role.
