We are seeking an Observability Advisor to join us in Sydney. This role involves selling Splunk Observability Solutions through an incentive-based sales plan aligned with specific goals. As an Observability Advisor, you will drive new customer acquisition and expand existing portfolios by showcasing the value of the solution. You should be able to explain complex solutions, cultivate executive-level relationships, and boost revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to devise Go-To-Market strategies, account and sales plans to enhance the range of products related to Observability for customers Holistically utilize the channel to discover and pursue new opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the team for optimal resource utilization and deployment. Offer timely feedback to other functions
  • Responsible for accurate forecasting, keeping management updated promptly, staying informed about competitor activities, and providing marketing feedback.
  • Track customer interactions in internal systems to implement sales strategies and pinpoint additional opportunities.
  • Identify the Observability landscape within accounts and cooperate with account teams and Global Strategists to devise positioning strategies.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations and/or deliver product training.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in customer-facing roles in an enterprise/SaaS software setting
  • Prior experience in selling Observability Solutions through consulting
  • Expertise in IT Operations and Observability capabilities is advantageous
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of industry and competitive trends in IT Operations or observability markets.

Should be able to consistently showcase use-case positioning with the 'C' suite, supporting complex customer deployment decisions.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills. Proven ability to maintain strategic and executive relationships with key figures in Observability domains.
  • Proficient in analyzing sales trends, market activities, and insights to formulate strategies for sales growth or create solution cross-sell/up-sell initiatives.
  • Skilled in developing solution-focused business plans for sales scaling, campaigns, new product introductions, and advisory programs.
  • Familiarity with value-based selling tools, account-targeting strategies, and methodologies to drive sales motions. Knowledge of MEDDIC or challenger methodologies is beneficial.
  • Some travel may be required (up to 20%).

OTE Range

For sales roles, starting salaries are defined as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + sales commission plans).
Australia
On Target Earnings: AUD 264,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexible working arrangements for most roles, including remote and/or in-office options. Our pay structure is location-based. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range serves as a guideline, and actual OTE will vary based on factors like location, candidate's skills, and experience. Additionally, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
