Operations Handling Specialist in our
Perishable's team based at our
Brisbane Station (Brisbane Airport, QLD)

Working days:
Monday to Friday

Shift time:
pm (1hr lunch break)

Overtime options:


Saturday & Sunday - we will have overtime where the business requires, potentially overtime available during the week if required pending operations and occasional weekend work.

_Overall Role Purpose_

Operations Handling Specialist is responsible for:

  • Undertakes full range of duties under limited supervision.
  • Will have clearly defined procedures in the movement and administration of goods in warehouses
  • Performs cargo receival arrangements
  • Ensures customer requirements are met and cargo handling is completed in a timely and efficient manner

_Accountabilities_

Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process

  • Completed daytoday work requirements as part of Warehouse team
  • Performs cargo checks and balances against manifest documents
  • Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents
  • Followsup shipment status, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents
  • Load and unload trucks quickly and safely ensuring safe and accurate check in and storage of freight until it leaves our facility
  • Building of export units for transfer overseas including LifeScience shipments
  • Disposal of Company records as requested by Supervisor
  • Report all irregularities, tampering or damage to freight
  • ULD coding and returns to airport
  • Keep warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
  • Report any damages to Supervisor as soon as possible
  • Present a courteous attitude to staff, customs, couriers and any persons presenting themselves the warehouse requiring assistance
  • Additional tasks as instructed by Department Manager / Supervisor

_Skills / Qualifications_

  • Knowledge and previous Warehousing experience
  • Knowledge of load restraint or similar
  • Results driven and attention to details
  • Selfdirected and proactive working style;
  • Fluent in English communication (verbal/written)
