Then you could be the perfect Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join the professionals at Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).


We're looking for AIN's who:
- have a Cert III in Individual Support (Ageing) or other appropriate certification
- have exceptional communication skills
- are compassionate and caring
- are looking for the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team of Medical, Nursing and Allied Health professionals


The Transitional Care Ward will function under a team-based model of care, where nursing staff work together within small teams to provide comprehensive care to a small patient group.

Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, to ensure that the provision of holistic care meets the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the patients.


Some of the wards daily goals of care include improving patients general functioning in relation to incontinence, reduced mobility, and cognitive impairment.

Besides your nursing team, joining you on the Transitional Care Ward will be:

  • an Allied Health team including Diversional Therapy, Physio, OT, Dietician, Social Work and Speech Pathology (on-site Monday-Friday)
- a Geriatrician

  • Medical Officers
  • Wardspersons
