Make a real difference in the lives of people living with disabilities in the role of Support Worker (community based).
This role is responsible for providing support to people with disabilities, assisting them to build meaningful relationships and find valued roles in their community.
- Accessing Community: assist participants with community outings which may include shopping, attend appointments, church, museums, festivals.
- Recreational Support: assist participants to pursue and develop their recreational pursuits which may include joining a local sporting club, kicking the footy at the park or swimming at the local swimming pool.
- Building Independent Living Skills: assist participants with daily living and life skills, this may include cooking, managing personal finances, home and garden maintenance, transport training for public transport use
