Job Title: Community Support Worker

SA Health is seeking a Community Support Worker to join our team in Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. As a Community Support Worker, you will provide essential services to enable our clients to maintain independence in their own homes.

About the Role

This casual position offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of aged, frail, or disabled individuals. You will work autonomously in the community, delivering compassionate and respectful care to clients in their homes or residential care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care and support to clients with complex care needs.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility as required.
  • Perform household duties including cleaning, laundry, minor gardening tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for appointments and outings.
  • Engage clients in meaningful social interactions and activities to enhance their well-being.
About You

We are looking for a flexible, conscientious, and empathetic individual who can work well within a team environment. You will have sound interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds, and circumstances.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or Home and Community).
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail, or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
