Senior Business Analysts, under the direction of WorkSafe Project Managers and Lead Business Analysts, are responsible for providing business analysis services and delivering defined outputs to support the delivery of the WorkSafe Strategy.

Key accountabilities:

  • Work in a team of Business Analysts, collaboratively contribute to ensuring the delivery of high-quality business outcomes for WorkSafe, using advanced training and facilitation skills, encouraging collaboration and innovation with a strong focus on the client experience
  • Lead the identification of translating business requirements into data migration requirements, through consultation with the business and technology stakeholders, vendors and clients, formal analysis and assessment of needs, developing recommendations and implementing agreed solutions
  • Develop and deliver business analysis artefacts, including requirements specifications, process and data models, in accordance with the project delivery framework and methodologies
  • Facilitate workshops to gather, inform, socialise, and gain acceptance of business analysis deliverables, ensuring that these are well understood and agreed by all relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new business processes and applications, and enhancements to existing processes and applications.

  • Proven experience in advanced business analysis techniques, methods and tools that enable informal leadership and guidance to a team of high performance and experienced Business Analysts
  • Extensive practical experience in waterfall and/or agile project delivery frameworks/methodologies, ability to introduce innovative concepts to the project team and BA Practice, and advanced knowledge of the SDLC and BA involvement across the entire project lifecycle
  • Proven experience as a business analyst in a Data Migration initiative (exiting off legacy system to new CRM), with the ability to translate business requirements to data migration requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships at all levels of seniority and technical capability and to leverage those relationship to negotiate with and influence decision makers across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability to take on accountability for highly complex pieces of work and work autonomously, work with some ambiguity and yet still deliver quality outcomes on time and budget

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary degree (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Business)
  • Relevant professional qualifications are desired, not essential (e.g. CBAP, Six Sigma, OCEB 2, CSM)
