The role:We are currently seeking a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team based in Fortitude Valley on a 12 months fixed term contract for part-time role for four days a week. Please note that some flexibility is needed to meet operational requirements. In this role, you will be delivering Family Dispute Resolution services to our clients as an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP).
Key Duties:- Facilitating Family Dispute Resolution sessions for parenting or property matters through various methods.
- Assessing, referring, or delivering child-inclusive family dispute resolution as required.
- Providing case management, information, and referrals to families progressing through the family dispute resolution process.
- Facilitating psycho-educational or information group sessions.
- Completing client suitability assessments for family dispute resolution.
- Completing client intake, including risk assessment and safety planning.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Science.
- Evidence of current registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
- Understanding of the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations within the Family Law Act.
- Well-developed understanding of relevant acts and their impact on families.
- Experience in intake, risk assessment, case management, and other related skills.
- Highly effective communication and advocacy skills.
- Professionalism and integrity in working with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with diverse families with complex needs including after-hours work and group programs delivery.
- Desirable understanding of separation and conflict impacts on families and children.
- Must have a current Blue Card.
- Must have a current driver's licence.
- Provide a current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check.
- Have working rights in Australia.
