The role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially minded lawyer to join our busy legal team based in our office in Mulgrave, Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for providing quality advice and the highest level of service to our truck and bus business units across a broad range of practice areas.As the newest Daimler Truck lawyer, you will join a global legal community in addition to being a part of a well-regarded, hardworking local team to manage the legal case load across our commercial vehicle product portfolio.

Reporting to the General Counsel your key responsibilities will include:

· Drafting and advising on our dealer network franchising arrangements

· Drafting and advising on information technology and data protection arrangements.

· Managing and liaising with external counsel on court and tribunal matters.

· Providing competition law and consumer law advice.

· Analysing, drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of contracts and tenders.

· Reviewing and providing legal sign off on marketing material.

· Drafting and implementing local and international policies, procedures, training and precedents.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:

You excel in influencing and communicating with multiple key stakeholders and possess exceptional time management skills, have excellent attention to detail and have strong contract drafting skills. Negotiation and advisory skills are also essential in this role.

As the ideal candidate you have 3 to 5 years' relevant post-admission experience, preferably in house for a large corporation or in a top-tier firm.You are motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic. Experience within the automotive industry or franchising would be preferred but is not essential.
