Job Summary:

Mars Recruitment Australia is partnering with a global Logistics and Supply Chain organisation to find an experienced Corporate Legal Counsel for a 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Legal Counsel to join our client's close-knit Legal team. The successful candidate will provide accurate, practical, and customer-focused expert and legal advice to senior and middle managers in the following areas:

  • Contract and Tender Management: Provide guidance on contract negotiations, tender submissions, and contract administration.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in the resolution of disputes and litigation matters, including consumer and competition law.
  • Corporate Governance: Provide advice on corporate law, including corporations law and complex insurance claims.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Privacy and Data Protection: Provide guidance on privacy and data protection matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice to senior and middle managers.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a legal or corporate legal counsel position.
  • Tertiary qualification in Law.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
