The Role
We are seeking a self-motivated

Payroll Officer to join our experienced, client-focused team to provide accurate and timely payroll support and advice to ALS laboratories across the region.

Reporting to the National Payroll Manager and as part of a collaborative team, you will process end-to-end payroll for your stakeholder group.

The day to day

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining employee records and files
• Processing changes to employee data
• Processing time records and calculating fortnightly pay on a rotating basis
• Processing payroll data and associated filing
• Endofpay and endofmonth procedure reporting (i.e. leave and overtime reports)
• Workcover claims and reimbursements
• Maintenance of employee superannuation fund details
• Upload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor payment
• Interpreting Awards and Agreements and Awards
• Upload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor payment

• Supporting the payroll team with projects and administrative activities

The essentials

• Payroll processing experience within a high volume, multifaceted role
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and aptitude to learn, understand and interpret awards and enterprise agreements
• Computer literacy and skills in MS Office (training will be provided in specific payroll software)
• Strong team orientation with a handson, cando attitude
• Fast and agile learner, able to manage competing priorities
• Helpful, customer service attitude
