An opportunity exists for a Cleaning Specialist focusing on Litter, Garbage, and Sanitary services within a Local Council in Hoppers Crossing.

This role involves maintaining cleanliness in various public areas, operating cleaning equipment and vehicles, and contributing to the overall appearance and safety of the municipality.

- $32.01 per hour + super (PAYG) or $35.53 per hour (ABN)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleansing duties across various public assets and locations
  • Provide rapid response services and traffic control for other crews as needed
  • Responsible for the maintenance and care of equipment and vehicles
  • Report road maintenance issues and contribute to reducing illegal dumping
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and take pride in enhancing the municipality's appearance
  • Participate actively in risk management and adhere to safety standards

About You:

  • Holds a current Victorian Driver's licence, including a Truck licence (up to 13.9T)
  • Experience and Certificate for a truckmounted crane
  • Capable of working to a schedule and following plans effectively
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Competent in using small plant equipment and truckmounted cranes
  • Solid understanding of OH&S practices, particularly in manual handling
  • Experience in cleansing or outdoor maintenance works
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with customer service experience
  • Level 2 First Aid and Manual Handling training
  • Willingness to work reasonable overtime and assist with municipality emergencies or callouts as required
  • Experience in cleansing or outdoor maintenance works
