Street Cleaner

An opportunity exists for a Cleaning Specialist focusing on Litter, Garbage, and Sanitary services within a Local Council in Hoppers Crossing. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in various public areas, operating cleaning equipment and vehicles, and contributing to the overall appearance and safety of the municipality.

- $32.01 per hour + super (PAYG) or $35.53 per hour (ABN)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform cleansing duties across various public assets and locations
- Provide rapid response services and traffic control for other crews as needed
- Responsible for the maintenance and care of equipment and vehicles
- Report road maintenance issues and contribute to reducing illegal dumping
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and take pride in enhancing the municipality's appearance
- Participate actively in risk management and adhere to safety standards

**About You**:

- Holds a current Victorian Driver's licence, including a Truck licence (up to 13.9T)
- Experience and Certificate for a truck-mounted crane
- Capable of working to a schedule and following plans effectively
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Competent in using small plant equipment and truck-mounted cranes
- Solid understanding of OH&S practices, particularly in manual handling
- Experience in cleansing or outdoor maintenance works
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with customer service experience
- Level 2 First Aid and Manual Handling training
- Willingness to work reasonable overtime and assist with municipality emergencies or callouts as required
- Experience in cleansing or outdoor maintenance works
