The Compulsory Treatment Liaison Officer provides vital support to the Manager Forensic Disability Clinical Services and to the Authorised Program Officers at Forensic Disability Clinical Services (FDCS).

This role enables the service to comply with the Disability Act 2006 and other relevant legislations, in relation to submitting treatment plans and related documents (progress reports, mental health plans, risk assessments, leave of absence data etc.) to the Senior Practitioner and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and other stakeholders in a timely manner.

The role also involves collating quality assurance data for Forensic disability services for evaluation and performance standard purposes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

Liaise with clients, staff and key stakeholders to gain the best possible outcomes for clients who reside at the Forensic Residential Services.

Ensure Forensic Disability Services are delivered in compliance with the Disability Act 2006 , particularly in relation to compulsory treatment legislation.

Ensure compulsory treatment documents including treatment plans and other related documents (for example, implementation reports, mental health plans and risk assessments) are submitted to the Senior Practitioner, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and other stake holders in a timely manner.

COVID-19 VACCINATION

The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.

As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
