Based in Sydney Olympic Park, Samsung Electronics Australia is a worldwide well-known and highly respected brand in the electronics industry.

With expansion to their business, we have now an opportunity for an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our operations.

The Facilities Coordinator will be supporting the Employee Services Manager in a number of initiatives nationally across Samsung Australia. This will include supervising and evaluating contractor work including checking SWMS and licenses, and carrying out site inspections.

About the role:

  • Ensuring that basic facilities are well maintained and engaging in preventative maintenance
  • Assistant to the Employee Services Manager
  • Lead the front of house team, including mailroom and receptionists
  • Assist in project management of office relocations, fit outs, and new builds
  • Lead, develop, and implement the WH&S processes
  • Administration of facilities and office maintenance plan, both preventative and reactive
  • Management of contractors and service providers onsite at the SOP location
  • Work closely with all areas of the business to manage the facilities and operational expectations of key stakeholders
  • Scheduling of preventative maintenance of the building and office equipment, as well as procurement and replacement of assets and services as required
  • Fleet vehicle management, including fuel card management, quoting, servicing, and repairs
  • Work with management on projects to obtain cost savings
  • Oversee company security system ensuring correct allocation and access levels, as well as frequent auditing and reporting
  • Support the facilities team with other duties as required
  • Ad Hoc duties as required

About you:

  • General building and facilities management experience
  • Project Management experience
  • 23 years minimum experience in facilities and building management within a corporate environment including management of a reception area (preferred)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and external
  • Strong ownership and people skills to liaise with internal and external customers
  • Ability to drive projects.
  • Customer relationship management, problem solving and decision making, logistics project management skills.
  • Good analytical and high adaptability skills.
  • WH&S Certification or accreditation a Bonus
