Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies.

The role can be based in either Dandenong South or Truganina site with certain amount of travel in between.

Reporting to the Divisional Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the cost effectiveness and execution of Visy's purchasing model, with a targeted focus on systems, processes and standardisation.


You will be an energetic, commercially savvy Purchasing professional who can be strategic and hands-on where necessary, network effectively to manage stakeholder expectations, all while driving optimal functionality and purchasing improvements within Visy Boxes and More.


  • Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:_
  • Being accountable for endtoend purchasing activities and lead a high performing team
  • Lead, promote, manage and improve operational purchasing practices to ensure all goods and services are to the required quality
  • Effectively manage relationships with suppliers and internally across all departments
  • Work collaboratively with Visy global procurement team on crossfunctional sourcing categories, implementation of initiatives, vendor reduction and process improvements
  • Manage the implementation, administration, compliance and renewals of supply/service agreements
  • Comply with Corporate Purchasing objectives of safe, sustainable and timely supply of quality products, and promote adherence to Corporate Supply agreements
  • Contribute to inventory management processes

What you will bring to the team:

  • Solid Purchasing experience in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Operations industry
  • Working knowledge of SAP within a Purchasing environment
  • Proven people leadership skills and experience
  • Advanced computer literacy with Intermediate Excel and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication, with proven ability to influence, negotiate and deliver in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for streamlining and enhancing efficiencies
