Visy began manufacturing corrugated cardboard boxes in Melbourne, Australia, in 1948 and has grown to become one of the world's leading privately owned packaging, paper and recycling companies.

We are looking for a passionate purchasing officer to join our Visy Boxes & More Purchasing Team located in Dandenong VIC on a full-time permanent basis.

In this role, you will directly report to Purchasing Team leader and work closely with another two purchasing professionals to support our key business stakeholders.


_ Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:_

  • Assist the endtoend process of purchasing orders (PO) management
  • Collate and analyse supplier data, as required, to assist in improving contracts and relationships with suppliers
  • Adhere to cost effective and efficient purchasing procedures to ensure goods and services purchased are sourced considering quality, service, efficiency
  • Planning/forecasting for potential purchasing orders and quotes
  • Regular review of MRP safety stocks, lead times and other key MRP parameters
  • Analysing and preparing our sales team with quotes for new and existing materials in a timely manner
  • Provide adhoc support to our business stakeholders as required to ensure delivery of business plans aligned with their expectations

What you will bring to the team:

  • Good understanding of manufacturing/distribution industry
  • 12 years' purchasing experience in a sizable business
  • Proven ability in administering procurement processes
  • A team player with cando attitude
  • Effective communicator and can deal with all levels of key stakeholders
  • SAP experience is highly desirable
