We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer who will become a vital member of our dynamic Energy Platform team, working alongside the Solutions Architect.

In this exciting role, you will spearhead innovative software design and development projects, driving cutting-edge solutions as an essential player in our engineering teams.

With a , this role is based in Melbourne and is part of the Energy Platforms team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • DER Aggregation Platform comprising IOT device, EDGE computing, AWS cloud platform, data analytics, machine learning, timeseries data and customer portals.
  • DER device integration and data streaming
  • Third party platform integrations
  • Forecasting, optimization, and data analytics
  • Customer portals and management tools for visualization and reporting
  • Process improvement and full lifecycle delivery.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Participate in the overall design of the solution/s and contribute recommendations for improvement.
  • Sharing learnings with your team and seeking opportunities to develop further in your role.
  • Your ability to pick things up quickly, partnered with your desire to pursue new skills and experiences, whilst continuously improving will see you succeed in this role.

You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • System analytics skills to analyse, design, guide and improve platform development.
  • Has mentored junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and DevOps trade-offs.
  • High scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software.
  • Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads.
  • Design, develop and implement unit and scenario testing for existing code base and for new functionality under development.
  • CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code
  • Software Development Lifecycle including SOLID principles, TDD/BDD, Web services, RESTful API, Web UI, Pub/Sub
