The role


Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Team Lead to join our Accommodation team based in the Ipswich area QLD.

The Accommodation Team Lead is responsible for the operations of a SIL site.

This role is responsible for the day to day operations and management of Support Workers to deliver high quality service and supports.

This role is also expected to perform client supports as part of the role responsibilities and is required to work shift work in line with the SCHADS Award.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Certificate IV Disability, Community Services or related field or equivalent experience
  • Do you have experience leading a team
  • Do you have experience with complex behaviour's
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and part of a culturally diverse team with mínimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS funding, SIL submissions, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • Well developed and effective communication, time management and organisation skills
  • Well developed Systems Management Skills, such as managing data bases and Microsoft
  • Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 2 years demonstrated experience working on the front line in Disability or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a safe work environment
  • Valid Working with Children's Check, NDIS Workers Screener check and National Police Check
  • Unencumbered Australian Driver's Licence and Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to work shift work, as required
  • Covid 19 Vaccinations status including booster
  • Pre Employment Assessment with drug screen

Desirable Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Health, Leadership or other relevant professional field is highly desirable
