Roles And Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing
    • Carry out end-to-end payroll procedures to support the weekly payroll for around 500 employees.
    • Check employee time and attendance records
    • Compute and handle salaries, extra hours, incentives, and other payroll aspects accurately
    • Handle modifications, allowances, deductions, incentives, and withholdings.
    • Compute exit payments and handle workers' compensation payouts.
  • Data Management
    • Ensure precise and current employee records, including adjustments in personal details, tax retentions, and perks.
    • Maintain payroll system core data in line with variations in employee agreements.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Keep updated about payroll statutes and regulations, including levies, retirement schemes, and NES, ensuring corporate observance.
  • Ensure corporate policies linked to payroll are fitting, well-disclosed, and constantly executed.
  • Prepare and present legal reports and disbursements, like tax submissions.
  • Manage PAYG processing and send Single Touch Payroll data to the ATO.
  • Perform end-of-month reports for all payroll firms and reconcile payroll clearing accounts.
  • Administer EOFY reports, conciliation, and finalization of employee details through STP.
Communication and Support
  • React quickly to staff concerns, giving distinct and precise data about payroll queries.
  • Guidance managers in sporadic training on timesheet validation and handle any payroll doubts.
  • Cooperate with HR and other divisions to fix payroll-related challenges or offer essential payroll details.
  • Collaborate with the Safety unit in processing workers' compensation payments.
Recordkeeping and Technology
  • Maintain neat and secure payroll records, creating records for auditing and conciliation objectives
  • Effectively employ payroll applications and systems, suggesting and executing process enhancements when required
  • Maintain the payroll system with support from the software provider
Required Experience
  • Proven background in AU payroll handling and administration
  • Understanding of payroll rules
  • Awareness of payroll software and associated technologies
  • Great focus on detail and precision
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Efficient communication and social abilities
  • Capability to handle delicate and confidential data with care
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or correlated domain
