Project Overview

We have been tasked by a leading Australian financial institution to support their upcoming Murex Binary Upgrade initiative. The bank is contemplating transitioning from the current Murex version 42 to a more recent iteration (V56 or 58) to incorporate significant changes affecting Collateral, Market Risk, Operations, Settlement functionalities, and modules. There are also notable impacts in MX technical areas, Reporting, and End-of-Day processes. As part of this upgrade project, we are seeking an experienced Murex Senior Collateral Consultant.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehend requirements and offer design and solutions for user needs
  • Create Collateral configurations and workflows based on the design
  • Collaborate with users for design approval
  • Document the implemented changes
  • Work with the Testing team to assess test cases, coverage, and troubleshoot encountered issues
  • Engage with the user base and serve as a liaison between Business and IT concerning Murex
  • Coordinate with Murex as needed to address bugs and problems

This role demands a solid background in financial markets across various asset classes. The incumbent will closely collaborate with the current Luxoft delivery team and engage with business and client technology functions.

Skills

  • Must Have:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Legal Agreements (CSA/GMRA)
  • Familiarity with Collateral stamping, including Murex setup
  • Experience with MLC (Murex Limits Controller) for Collateral Exposure calculation
  • Back Office expertise:
  • Understanding of Margin Calls/Expected Margin calls and EOD scripts
  • Collateral Exchange workflow (or at minimum MxML)
  • Collateral inventory and Allocation process
  • Experience in Interest statements, Collateral exchange accounting, LRB creation, LTS scripts, and margining payments would be advantageous
  • Nice to Have:
  • Techno-Functional proficiency
  • Ability to manage various stakeholders
