We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mining Engineer - Underground to join our team at the Perth Corporate Office. Reporting to the General Manager of Technical Services, you will provide mining technical support, assistance and oversite to our mining operations

The Opportunity:

  • Undertake mine planning and feasibility work for both operational and development projects.
  • Undertake and contribute to Mine Reserves
  • Lead the development and implementation of mine planning strategies to optimise production efficiency and resource utilisation.
  • Conduct comprehensive geological and geotechnical assessments to support mine design and development activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geological, engineering, and operational data into mine plans and schedules.
  • Undertake scenario analysis of alternate mine designs and sequences to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Evaluate and recommend mining methods, equipment, and technologies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to site operations teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of feasibility studies, project evaluations, and long-term strategic plans for mining projects.
  • Undertake site-based relief work as required.

What we will expect from you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mining engineering roles, with a focus on mine planning and operations.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in the mining industry, preferably in gold exploration and production.
  • Strong technical proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable mining practices.
