Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving feature enhancement projects that align with our strategic goals. This role requires a strong understanding of technology, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed project requirements.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Work closely with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist in prioritising features based on business value, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and the technology team.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
- Conduct regular meetings and workshops to gather feedback and ensure requirements are being met.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to create detailed solution designs.
- Develop user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes to support the development process.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Define and execute test plans to ensure feature enhancements meet business requirements.
- Coordinate with QA teams to perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify and resolve defects, ensuring a high-quality end product.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
- Provide post-implementation support to address any issues and ensure smooth adoption of new features.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-focused environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering feature enhancement projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Knowledge of industry-standard modeling techniques (e.g., UML).
- Understanding of UX/UI principles.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
