Due to a recent internal project, we have an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis until the end of Feb 2024.

In the role of Payroll Specialist, you will report to the Payroll Services Manager and be responsible for delivering a range of quality payroll services including fortnightly payroll processing, issue resolution, responding to a variety of employee pay queries and you will ensure that all salary and other allowance payments are made consistent with the appropriate Industrial Instrument (e.g. Employment Agreements and Awards).

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role processing payroll for 500+ employees
  • Essential
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary payroll processing practices & standards
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements applicable to payroll processing & payments
  • Demonstrated experience using ichris or Chris21 payroll
    system & a rostering system
  • Ability to work collaboratively & effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to provide evidence of Covid Immunisations x3
