An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join the Sportsground maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of the Council's sports surfaces and turf wickets within the municipality.
About the Position:
The position leads the turf wicket and sportsground preparation at Central Reserve's Premier Cricket facilities, as well as providing support to the turf wicket curators across all sites and supporting the Foreperson with the weekly and annual program delivery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Seasonal turf wicket preparation, maintenance and renovations
Assisting Foreperson with planning and delivery of sportsground maintenance programmed tasks
Providing expert analysis and improvement opportunity for Council's 9 turf wickets and 5 turf practice wickets
Leading small teams in completion of routine and seasonal tasks
Skills and Experience:
Experience in positive development of staff and workgroups;
Experience in communication with internal and external stakeholders;
Well-developed problem solving and influencing skills;
Exceptional team working and collaboration skills.
Requirement of the position:
Diploma or Certificate in Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) or relevant similar qualification
Significant, relevant experience in turf wicket management at a minimum Premier Cricket level or equivalent
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
