We have an exciting opportunity available for a Principal Engagement Officer to join the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA).


You will be overseeing a supportive and results driven team, leading initiatives build relationships with the EPA's stakeholders to ensure NSW communities and stakeholders are engaged and informed on EPA issues and opportunities.


About you

  • You will have experience in developing and managing stakeholder relationships, including engaging regularly with stakeholders.
  • Skills and experience in leading the planning and implementation of strategic engagement initiatives that are effective in achieving organisational goals.
  • Be confident in monitoring and reporting on stakeholder needs, interests, and issues, and work proactively with colleagues across the EPA to recommend actions to manage identified risks and ensure the EPA is appropriately represented.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing events for stakeholders and community, including through workshops, webinars, open days, forums, meetings, or dropins.
  • Experience in crafting communications materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • Skills in using stakeholder relationship management, event, and newsletter systems.
  • You will have a collaborative and creative approach to your work and commitment to genuine engagement.
  • Available to travel on occasion to support stakeholder management and events.
  • Able to lead a team of engagement professionals to deliver the unit's objectives.
