Who you are


UniSQ is seeking a positive and proactive Receptionist who is willing to go above and beyond to ensure clients have a great experience when visiting UniSQ Brisbane.


The Receptionist is responsible for the provision of professional assistance and support to staff, students and visitors at UniSQ Brisbane.

Your customer service, administrative skills and team player attitude will be key to your success in this new role.

What you'll do


You will be the first impression and point of contact at UniSQ Brisbane, greeting visitors, monitoring and authorising the entrance and departure of staff, students and visitors to maintain security of the facility.


You will work closely with the Facilities Manager and broader UniSQ Brisbane team and will be responsible for ensuring reception is well presented, providing administrative support, managing visitor requests including but not limited to parking, and managing phone calls and mail.

What will help you succeed

  • Completion of a Certificate IV in Administration with relevant experience or the completion of a Certificate III in Administration with extensive work experience.
  • Experience in providing a front door customer service experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the centrality of customers in a service industry with the ability to meet and exceed individual client needs and ensure a positive standard of service provision consistent with the UniSQ brand at all times.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures and experience in using computer hardware and software.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively liaise with and independently provide information and advice to internal and external clients both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to set appropriate goals, prioritise work, follow through on tasks, report progress and achieve results.
