About the Role

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is a leading provider of aeromedical and primary health care services to remote, rural, and regional areas. As we approach a century of service excellence, our focus remains on delivering top-notch care to all corners, and we invite you to be part of this journey.

As a vital team member supporting RFDS operations, you'll be contributing behind the scenes to our mission of aiding communities across Queensland.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly scheduled maintenance checks on aircraft promptly and without disrupting network availability
  • Troubleshoot and rectify line defects in daily flight operations for all stationed and transiting aircraft
  • Available for after-hours call-outs statewide for fleet defect rectification
  • Ensure proper management, storage, and usage of tools and equipment
  • Participate in business improvement and risk management initiatives
  • Adhere to occupational health and safety policies
Requirements
  • CASA B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • Demonstrated experience with Turboprop engines specific to RFDS QLD aircraft types
  • Beechcraft 300 series type rating
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in Aircraft Maintenance
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in maintenance control
  • Background in supply chain management
