Your new team

  • Orygen Specialist Program provides mental health services to young people aged 1525 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.
  • The Orygen Eating Disorders stream is an emerging program that partners with young people, families/carers and the wider Orygen teams to provide evidencebased best practice eating disorder assessments and interventions. The team is made up of experienced clinicians providing primary and secondary consultations and assisting young people with mental ill health who are also experiencing eating disorders.

About your new role

  • A multidisciplinary role open to Grade 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses and Grade 4 Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists._
  • In this role you will:
  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership, management, training and supervision of a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide leadership across the full range of Acute, Subacute and Community subprograms in Orygen
  • Oversee the integration of the research and knowledge translation activities into the Eating Disorders Clinical Stream
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with key external stakeholders, developing effective interfaces within OSP clinical streams and programs
  • Provide mental health services to young people, including case management, psychological treatment, clinical intervention

About You:

  • Experience and expertise in management within public mental health
  • Comprehensive experience in clinical practice within the mental health field, including young people experiencing mental health disorders
  • Demonstrated experience is strategic management, developing partnerships with internal and external services, policy development and integration of research
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate clientcentred individual service plans, risk assessments and diagnostic formulations
