Your new team

  • Orygen Specialist Program provides mental health services to young people aged 1525 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.
  • The Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings including the Parkville and Malmsbury sites, and various community settings (YFACS, YJMH and CCMHARS).

Your new role

  • A multidisciplinary role open to Grade 6 Registered Mental Health Nurses and Grade 5 Occupation Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists.

_ In this role you will:

  • Provide highlevel consultation, strategic and clinical leadership, management, training and supervision to multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee the integration of the research and knowledge translation activities into the FYMHS
  • Develop a comprehensive service delivery model for FYMHS in consultation with the clinical and executive leadership team
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of partnerships with key stakeholders, developing effective interfaces within OSP clinical streams and programs, such as AOD, youth justice and primary care services

About You:

  • Substantive experience and expertise in management and clinical practice within the mental health field, including young people experiencing mental health disorders
  • Comprehensive experience working with young people and their families/carers involved in the youth justice system
  • Demonstrated experience is strategic management, developing partnerships with internal and external services, policy development and integration of research
  • Advanced skills in developing, implementing and evaluating clientcentred individual service plans, risk assessments, diagnostic formulations and treatment for young people presenting with both forensic issues and with mental health disorders
