A little about us


We are a Not-for-Profit organisation with a team of more than 130 experienced practitioners from many cultures and we provide out-of-home care to Young People aged between 6-17 and we're continuing to grow.

We operate a licenced Not-for-Profit service and have developed our own therapeutic framework to help create and support change in Young People who have suffered serious trauma.

Our homes where these children live, are on rural properties and they include animals and engagement with nature in our daily programs.

About the opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity to join us as one of our Framework Support Officers, you will have a vital role to play.

You will be based in our Toowoomba region and will be required to travel to our Stanthorpe region up to 2 days per week.

You will be assisting the Framework Support Team Leader to achieve excellence.

This is done through ensuring services are delivered within the Vision and Values Statement, policies and procedures, legislative requirements, licensing, and organisational requirements.

You will also be working closely with Team Leaders and Area Managers to ensure quality outcomes through engaging, coaching and reviewing, ensure licensing and company standards are met across the organisation, primarily through a Framework Review process at each property and for each Young Person including ensuring Team Members are adequately supervised and documents align with legislation.

This position also extends into a range of other areas including internal training and you should take the time to familiarise yourself with the position description that is provided should you be successful.

Ongoing training and team building, provides the support you need to succeed in this position.

Desired Skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Ability to genuinely embrace the Values and Vision of Family Centered Support Services
  • Demonstrated passion for excellence
  • Qualification in Human Services or related industry and a Quality/Business Management qualification
  • Ability to fulfil the travel requirement between Toowoomba and Stanthorpe as required
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role required
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in the same industry highly valued (residential care and child protection)
  • Demonstrated high levels of cultural awareness, crosscultural experience, an understanding of remote communities or a willingness to learn and a good understanding of the Department of Child Safety (Qld)
  • High level confidence with learning computerbased systems and programs including Microsoft Office, Browser Based Cloud Systems and Windows 10
  • Ability to adapt as the company grows and changes
  • High level interpersonal skills (approachable, diplomatic, sensitive, articulate)
  • High level written skills
