What you'll be doing
This role is for a Project Manager to work within the Strategy and Innovation Directorate of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network within the PMO department. As the Project Manager, you will manage the end to end delivery of an assigned portfolio of projects and or programmes and ensure on time delivery, to agreed scope and within budget.
  • A degree or tertiary qualifications in Project Management, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Min 5 years proven Project Management experience including overall management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing IT and health solutions into business environment, managing organisational change, program management methodologies, and the realisation of business benefits.
  • Experience leading teams of varying expertise on major programs to deliver high quality, customer focussed outcomes.
  • 5-10 years' experience managing in a matrix environment, guiding and coaching team members and Project Managers in tools, systems and processes to achieve project implementation excellence.
  • Conflict and Risk Management experience - ability to work through issues; Experience identifying, managing and communicating project risks.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Applicants holding visas with working rights may be considered for temporary appointment (up to the expiry date of their visa) where no suitable local applicant is identified.
