In this role, you'll:


Be accountable for providing technical leadership to develop, oversee implementation and improve Technical Maintenance Plans (TMPs) for operational assets in the civil, track and geotechnical disciplines to enable Sydney Trains to meet safety and reliability performance targets set by the Rail Services Contract.

This role is part of our Asset Services & Governance team based within Engineering & Maintenance at Sydney Trains where we have a focus on continuous improvement in the maintenance of assets - a key focus towards Sydney Trains asset management maturity.


Reporting to the Manager, Technical Maintenance Plans, the Group Leader Civil TMPs will utilise risk techniques such as FMECA (Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis), RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) to optimise maintenance strategies and drive change, for operational assets to enable Sydney Trains to meet safety and reliability performance targets.

The Group Leader Civil TMPs will also ensure the upkeep of related data in the asset management system that is used to create work orders for the maintenance teams to be able to effectively deliver the work.

About you


You have a technical background and understanding of reliability engineering with sound analytical skills, particularly in relation to the development of maintenance requirements.


Relevant Engineering qualifications (ideally Civil) recognised for Graduate Membership of IE Australia or Certificate IV / Diploma qualifications in relevant engineering discipline coupled with extensive practical experience in the maintenance of rail infrastructure or equivalent complex operational systems is essential.


You demonstrate strong people skills to engage and consult with other stakeholders in the business to be able to draw out what is needed with regards to maintenance of assets.


You will have a good understanding of FMECA/RCM (reliability centred maintenance) analysis and experience having applied this in previous roles.
