About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Qualified Radiographer who wants to undertake training as a Sonographer at our Muswellbrook clinic on a permanent full-time basis.

This position has no minimum experienced required as a Radiographer and will require a minimum of a 4-year commitment to Muswelbrook.

You will:

  • First and foremost, provide compassionate patient care, taking responsibility for patient welfare and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate consistent and progressive skill set improvement, aiming to independently conduct ultrasound examinations to produce images of the highest diagnostic quality possible.
  • Exercise independent professional judgement in solving problems and managing cases where principles, procedures and techniques require expansion, adaptation or modification.
  • Assess patient status and capabilities, ensuring procedure preparation is adequate, liaising with medical and other staff to ensure appropriate provision of diagnostic services.

Alongside your commitment to continuous improvement and the highest standard of clinical practice, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and give 100% in everything you do.

You will also:

  • Be willing to enroll in a recognised post-graduate ultrasound program
  • Effectively manage relationships with patients, demonstrating empathy and compassion and upholding their dignity and confidentiality
  • Work collaboratively within a team to achieve the best possible outcomes
